Trust Fall

Matthew 11: 28

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

.....

In our relationships, I'm sure we've all had times when we felt hesitant to truly open up to our significant others, friends, or counterparts. We knew that to do so, would be to give them our every part, thus giving them the power to hurt us. So we built walls.

"You can have this but you can't have this". "You can't have me", or "You can't have all of me". Why?

It could be past trauma, past betrayal, or maybe an attempt at self-preservation.

We do this to God too. More than anything you could ever do for Him, He wants your heart. Above all else, He wants you.

Can you trust fall?

He won't disappoint you or let you down. I know the enemy is telling you that your last disappointment was from God but it wasn't. The enemy just wants to pervert that experience to make you doubt God's passionate commitment towards you.

Can you surrender?
